Sartell, St. Cloud high on lists of partisan cities in Minn. by Jim Maurice, WJON.com
ST. CLOUD/SARTELL -- A new report indicates St. Cloud and Sartell are two of the most partisan cities, when it comes to campaign contributions. However, while Sartell leans to the right, St. Cloud leans left.
Smart Politics examined the donations to Minnesota U.S. House candidates from the 44 cities that have contributed at least $20,000. Sartell ranks 9th on the list of Republican leaning cities -- 85% of the resident's $22,000 in contributions went to Republican candidates.
St. Cloud ranks 8th on the list of Democratic leaning cities -- 63% of the $106,000 donated by it's residents went to Democratic candidates.
